Furrow ("Furrow," "we," "us," "our") is operated by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Furrow mobile app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information: Email address, password (stored as a secure hash — we never see or store your plaintext password).
Profile and property information: Postal code, country, property type (e.g. private home, apartment/condo, farm/acreage).
Garden data: Growing areas, plants, photos you upload, care plans, check-ins, and conversations you have with Furrow's AI assistant — including any garden-related details, observations, or concerns you share.
Usage information: Basic in-app activity (e.g. which features you use, when you complete a check-in) tied to your account, used to understand how Furrow is used and improve it. We do not use this for advertising.
Device information: Limited technical details (e.g. device type hints) used for account security, such as showing you your active sessions.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your garden data to train third-party AI models beyond what's needed to generate your own responses.
We share information only with service providers who help us run Furrow, under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us:

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal or security purposes (e.g. fraud prevention records).
All users may update most of their account information within the app. To request deletion of your account or an export of your personal data, contact us at [email protected], and we will fulfill your request as soon as reasonably possible.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. EEA/UK residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing your information is your consent (for garden/AI content) and contract performance (for account and app functionality). You have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. These requests are currently handled manually — contact [email protected] and we'll respond as soon as reasonably possible.
Furrow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Furrow's infrastructure and service providers are located in the United States. If you access Furrow from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll provide additional notice within the app.
